Lillemäe – ‘Resurrection’

Lillemäe is back with another track, ‘Resurrection’.

Robert Lillemäe, performing as Lillemäe, is a Swedish producer known for his pumping work-out style tracks. ‘Resurrection’ is a gloriously repeated sequence of high octane beats, underpinned by an almost relentlessly surging electronic rhythm, interrupted occasionally by an ethereal female voice repeating a phrase spoken by the character Dr Samuel Loomis in ‘Halloween’:

“I met this six-year-old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes… the devil’s eyes.”

The word “eyes” is then worked into the rhythm, and there comes a point where you actually forget that’s what the voices – more and more electronic-sounding – are saying.

It’s a little bit spooky in the otherwise upbeat track, but it’s not at all out of place.

‘Resurrection’ is available as a free download here.
