Eryn – ‘Hallelujah You’re Gone’

One woman powerhouse Eryn knows how to turn a negative situation into a positive one. Inspired by the great soul and R&B artists, she has adopted a sound that is a mix of country and jazz while dressed like a pinup girl.

Spending her childhood in Maryland and Washington DC, she moved to New Jersey at the age of eleven. She’s always had a passion for music, having been singing ever since she could talk, and writing music since she was 13, but only now has started to promote her music career. Over the years, Eryn has honed in on her strenghs, and has produced a record she’s really proud of, her debut EP, ‘Lady E’. She describes it as the celebration of her life, and her single, ‘Hallelujah You’re Gone’, is a track which unites her high energy with an independent feel.

The video for ‘Hallelujah You’re Gone’ was directed by William DeVizia and shot at The Wonder Bar, in Ashbury Park, where Eryn and her husband first met. The track isn’t about a particular person, but rather applies to any obstacle or relationship in your life. The clip uses subtle imagery, with the girls playing their cards right – and eventually throwing them over their shoulders – signifying they no longer will be playing games.
