Eli Michael, from Mansfield, Louisiana, is a prolific producer of hip hop. His latest track, ‘M I L K A N D H O N E Y’, released yesterday, is a freestyling rhyme with an ethereal backing track.
The beat is a heart-beat paced rhythm, keeping time with the Eli’s double-shot of rhymes. He’s on the rise – the lyrics are upbeat in the first half and then they change to a more contemplative rhyming hook about halfway through – “I could not give up, I could not back down” – before returning to the double of the first half.
