Trevor Drury – ‘Jealousy’

Trevor Drury is a crossover sensation, blending indie rock, jazz, blues, and R&B with traditional pop. The end result is an original sound that will leave you wanting more. His latest track, ‘Jealousy’, displays his talents in both vocals and songwriting.

Growing up in San Diego, California, Trevor started exploring his musical talents at the age of 8, when he started learning to play piano, before moving on to study vocal performance at San Diego State University. Here he began writing his own music, and his passion for songwriting came to the fore in 2015. Trevor’s debut, ‘The Start’, was a showcase of his unique style and talents. ‘Jealousy’, his new single, is a detailing of love and loss, and was described by Vents Magazine as,

“one of the hottest tracks dropped by him thus far, we get the privilege of enjoying a fusion of genres shamelessly blended together to create a fierce theme song for the betrayed.”

Outside of music, Trevor is a model, who knows how to make the camera love him. This skill is made obvious in the video for ‘Jealousy’, as he’s able to convey feelings of betrayal and confusion, while singing about losing his sense of security in a relationship, and the stark and intense editing style is the perfect foil for Drury’s feelings of control loss. Deeply emotional, Trevor’s voice rises and sinks around the simple guitar and percussive instrumentation.

Life is on the up and up for Trevor Drury, with nearly 77K followers on Spotify, and a new project coming soon, called ‘A Year Of My Life’. You can find out more about this exciting new artist on his official website.
