Ben Haenow Announces Second Studio Album ‘Alive’

Ben Haenow will release his second album, ‘Alive’, on 25 May. The album is available to pre-order now.

‘Alive’ addresses themes of love and aspiration, and promises to be Ben’s most authentic work yet, as he shines a mirror on his soul with each song.

With the exception of two covers, his unique renditions of the incredible ‘Always On My Mind’, made famous by Elvis Presley, and the Bill Withers classic, ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’, the remaining 9 tracks have been written by Ben and his brother Alex Haenow.

Speaking about the forthcoming release of his new album, Ben Haenow said:

“I’m sooo buzzing for people to finally hear the new album and songs! This album definitely feels more honest in style and lyrical content compared to the first album. In some respects, with some of the tracks, it is a bit more autobiographical and a chance to tell a little more of my story with all that’s happened the last three years.

“It’s special to me as all the tracks were written by me and my brother which I’m very proud of! There are a few tracks which might surprise people too; be that a good or bad thing lol. We have experimented a little style-wise with a few tracks but the reaction to the new stuff when we played a few at live shows has been great. I really hope everyone likes the album, it’s my first independent release so a little scary but also very exciting!”

The album includes all of Ben’s previously independently released singles, ‘Alive’, ‘Forgive & Forget’, ‘Rising’, and ‘Falling Down’. Title track ‘Alive’ has so far accumulated over one million streams on Spotify, with that figure rising daily. The album follows Ben’s eponymous debut, which was released in November 2015. The record went gold-certified, and featured his platinum-selling nomber one single, ‘Something I Need’, as well as his duet with Kelly Clarkson, ‘Second Hand Heart’.
