Grey Wiese Releases Debut Album #beyourself

German pop artist Grey Wiese released his debut album, ‘#beyourself’ on March 30. The songs on the album are personal in nature and Grey promotes love, support, and art through his work, and as a passionate member of the LGBTQ community.

Wiese learned piano and folk dance as a child but left music to become simply a hobby when he turned to studying management and economics, forging a career in exports. Music was calling him however, and his friends encouraged him to return to his original passion.

Just over a year ago Wiese uploaded a cover of Sia’s ‘Bird Set Free’, and from there his musical career has snowballed, with more and more fans discovering him as he released covers. His first original track, ‘Who Are You’, penned by E Yakovenko and A Vasilyev, came out on May 1 last year.

Grey Wiese’s style is reminscent of Take That, and Sam Smith, and combines honest pop with modern production. The title track, the first release from his album, is a metaphor for Grey setting himself free as an artist, and the beginnings of his creative exploration of the endless possibilities within music.

beyourself‘ is out now on all major platforms.
