East Sussex Band The Equatorial Group Deliver Honest And Heartfelt Debut Album

East Sussex band The Equatorial Group gear up to release debut album ‘Apricity’ out May 25th, 2018.

Starting off the ten-track album, with country-tinged ‘Lights Shine’, before moving onto acoustic piece ‘Juggernauts’ to a more instrument heavy folksy ‘Surrogate Funeral’, to slow-build instrumental tracks ‘Toy Shark’ and ‘Burning’ the album is packed full of songs that pull emotive lyrics with powerful vocal harmonies.

The group’s country influences shine through on tracks ‘Farewell My Lovely’ and ‘Motorbikes’  as well as on ‘Those Dudes’ at number eight – a perfect track to slow-dance to -provides an uplifting tone to an otherwise chilling, goosebump-inducing. The closing track, another uplifting space country piece, ‘Sometime in Spring’, reminds you of a pleasant day in spring and leaves you swaying side-to-side.

With sound that blends folk rock, space country, and Americana, the group from Eastbourne delivers music that is honest and heartfelt, tinged with their love of countrified sonic landscapes, and proudly displaying their many influences.

Apricity is available to pre-order digitally from 27 April on iTunes, and Amazon. Listen and stream ‘Apricity’:
