Flatlands – ‘Friday Night’

Flatlands came together in September 2016 and comprise Tom Keogh on vocals and guitar, Rob Maclennan (drums), Nat Jones on guitar, and Jamie Cornish on bass. With Tom, Rob and Nat essentially rising from the ashes of two bands at Abingdon School, Flatlands was later made complete with the addition of bassist Jamie.

They’ve gone from strength to strength, and have supported the likes of Yonaka and Rhys Lewis, as well as their own headline shows. Flatlands’ sound is indie rock with a US West Coast dance punk vibe. Their new track, ‘Friday Night’, is fiercely paced with strong vocals and instrumentation in sync – nicely produced, it’s a great follow up to the band’s EP, ‘Provisional Licence’, which was released in January this year.

Flatlands are establishing for themselves a formidable reputation as a live act, which has been cemented by their performances over the summer. You can see them at The Fleece, Bristol, on December 3. Tickets and further information are available here.
