Los Angeles-based Midoca says, “The Void is inspired by the acknowledgement of both the physical and mental artifacts that remain after a separation.”

The song is characterised by Midoca’s smooth voice, sitting comfortably atop the mostly electronic instrumentation. Falling somewhere between pop and alt-rock, ‘The Void’ is lyrically quite moving, singing of dead roses by the bedside kept to rememeber the former love. He senses them in everything, and finds it hard to move on.
