Parker Polhill – ‘Wasted’

Growing up in Atlanta, Parker Polhill’s passion was sports, while music was a hobby he seldom devoted any time to. That all changed however when he performed at his high school graduation, and a friend with a studio urged him to push his talents beyond his comfort zone, and to find his voice.

Parker found a fanbase through covers he posted on Soundcloud, and now on to his original songs. ‘Wasted’, his latest release, shows the influence of those he cites as inspirations, including Drake, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Brett Young, and Justin Bieber. His soft voice sings of the toxic relationship with his love, who seems to be drinking too much, and driving a wedge in the relationship. They stay together however because the chemistry between them is too strong. The video is beautifully lit, with reds, blues, yellows, and vibrant shadow-play.
