justdoitBRISK – ‘Flashin’’

Born April 1 in 1991, Jacksonville Florida native Jonathan “Brisky” McGowan is no fool, but rather a born star, whose love of music stems from an early age, starting with watching his own father’s star rise – Jay Ski performed as part of 69 Boyz, Chill Deal, Quad City DJs, and 95 South.

Brisky hung out in studios, watched music videos, and learned from the moves of the likes of Michael Jackson, and producers such as Timbaland and Pharrell. Like so many others, Brisky was a shy child, but once in front of an audience, he found himself to be a larger than life performer.

Now performing as justdoitBRISK, he’s not just a rapper and singer, but also a producer, striving to make music outside the box – “it’s only insanity until it works”. Brisky’s first national single is ‘Flashin”, which he describes as being in the style of:

“hip hop music the younger people are listening to now, sorta on the Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug club style.”

The video for ‘Flashin” is all technicolour lighting and gorgeous, with justdoitBRISK in a metallic suit, surrounded by women covered in silver body paint and jewels. He raps from on top of a TV at first, and later from on top of a poice car. Directed by Marty McFly, the video and song are catchy and appealing.
