TONY STOWELL’S COVER RELEASE OF ROBBIE WILLIAM’S ‘ANGELS’ – RAISING AWARENESS FOR HIS CAMPAIGN

A former Hull model, Tony Stowell has just released a cover single, working together with Pete Hammond on Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’ to raise awareness of his campaign for CCTV in care-homes.

Tony recently stated:

“Well what I want to achieve is quite simple. Care and comfort to the residents and to have their opinions and not have to live by guidelines. Let’s remember it’s their home after all and the system charges minimum £600 per week. Disgusting. And the staff have no qualifications at all. I want that changing too. It’s a specialist job and yet the system and the government pay minimum wage with no training to look after someone’s mum, dad etc. Doing the track will definitely bring awareness to I believe just about everyone as we all know someone in care or who needs it.

I have seen horrendous abuse and management let it go on. I believe it’s in all honesty one way or another.”

Pete Hammond, working with Tony on the cover release cover stated,

“Tony and I have made this record to help enable us to reach more people in pursuit of support for the campaign.

My own mother suffered dementia and I cared for her for 10 years until she died aged 95.

I currently have the same situation with my 85-year-old mother-in-law. My wife and I have to do all her shopping and cooking because she can’t remember how to use the oven or where her food is kept. She is suffering from vascular dementia and has absolutely zero short term memory. She is incapable of constructive thought and has even forgotten the names and identities of her grandson and her great grand children. It is very sad indeed.

Tony and I hope to make a difference.”
