Glasgow Loves Jedward: Dublin Duo Play Twin Scottish Sets

Scotland certainly loves Jedward with the Dublin duo being invited not once but twice to Glasgow in the past month. The pair played a sellout show at the Polo Lounge on April 16, and followed this up with an appearance at the Savoy Club on Friday, 12 May.

Jedward, real names John and Edward Grimes, surprised the excited audience at Glasgow’s famous Savoy Club by performing a DJ set, consisting of their own self-penned compositions. Some of the songs played included ‘Hologram’, ‘Good Vibes’, ‘Oh Hell No’, and ‘Ferocious’, among others. The audience joined Jedward in singing along, with many of them knowing all the words by heart.

Quentin Collier, owner of the Savoy Club gushed,

“Jedward literally blew the roof off.  We have now discovered that as well as amazing singers and songwriters, Jedward are superstar DJs.  Best crowd reaction ever.”

Following their set, Jedward thrilled many fans with a Meet and Greet. A fantastic night was had by one and all, and hopes are high that it won’t be long until they return to Scotland.
