Nik Salazar “Who Am I Kidding”

Born in New York and raised in Colombia, Nik Salazar had always dreamed of being an international singer. With his unique mix of musical talent and natural onscreen ability, he’s become a crossover star of both radio and TV in his homeland.

Nik first appeared on ‘Chica Vampiro’, a musical series for RCN Televisión, which was screened in several European countries, and was purchased by Nickelodeon for broadcast across all Latin America. From there Nik has found his way to Sesame Street, shown on RCN Televisión, Univisión, and Discovery Kids.

Nik’s big musical break came in 2014, when his song, ‘We Are One’, was a finalist in the Supersong Competition. He followed this up by being selected from over 19,000 contestants as a finalist in the Latin Category of the global International Songwriting Competition earlier this year, and a few months later his song, ‘All Yours’ was selected for in the Top 40 category for the same contest.

Nik is currently based in Los Angeles, where he is riding the momentum behind his new EP, ‘All Yours’. The first single from the EP, ‘Who Am I Kidding’, is, like the other tracks, an addictively delicious slice of 90s style pop, and its infectious melodies tug on the heartstrings of anyone who’s been affected by heartache.

The video for ‘Who Am I Kidding’ shows Nik dealing with the pain and emptiness of suddenly finding himself alone in a house he’d formerly shared. We follow his every mundane routine, from fixing a meal, or taking a shower, and feel the heaviness and sadness of his life.
