Essential Advent Calendar: ‘Mexican Music Man Sing Your Song!’

December 17 and for today’s door on our Essential Advent Calendar we go south of the border, to find the debut children’s album from Alejandro Espina Aldana, ‘Mexican Music Man Sing Your Song!’.

Mexican Music Man, real name Alejandro Espino Aldana, is a familiar face to customers at Prahan Markets, in Victoria Australia’s capital city Melbourne, where he has a regular performance spot every Thursday. Alejandro has also performed at festivals around Victoria, including the Ventana Latina Festival and the Celebrate Mooroolbark Festival, where he brings the music and energy of Mexico to life, with his dynamic performance for children of all ages.

Now Alejandro has released his debut children’s album, just in time for Christmas! ‘Mexican Music Man Sing Your Song!’ The album, produced by long time Mexican Music Man team meber, Daniel Jauregui, is a perfect children’s record, showcasing the dynamic array of rhythms from Alejandro’s Mexican homeland, as well as other Latin American cultures. Originally from Tijuana, on the Mexican border, his music captures the magical sounds of his childhood home.

The new album includes the bilingual single, ‘One To Twelve’ – a great tune to teach children how to count in Spanish.

You can find Mexican Music Man online on Facebook and his official website, where you can also buy his music.
