Sounding every bit like a Eurovision winner, Israel-born Amir Higher creates an infectious dance pop atmosphere with his debut single, ‘I Am Ready’.

Amir has been a fixture behind the piano since his first piano lesson at the age of five, and composed his first original song at 10, inspired by MTV. It was at the same age he joined a professional dance troupe, performing around the world, leaving five years in order to focus on music. Amir also started singing at a young age, and by the 10th grade in school he was singing in front of hundreds of people, then progressed to lead tenor, performing in many classical concerts.

Amir had two original songs featured in ‘Choices’, which was the winner of the Cannes Film Festival’s Best Short Film Award, and has now moved onto work as a solo artist. ‘I Am Ready’ is the first track from his forthcoming album.

The accompanying video for ‘I Am Ready’, opens with a radio broadcast. A puzzled broadcaster is trying to work out a worldwide phenomenon, which causes viewers of Amir’s new video to break out into dance. They get Amir on-air to discuss the happening, but as it’s unclear, the perfect solution seems to be to get him to sing it out.

Amir sits at the piano in the studio, ready to record. He coughs, with sparks flying. He removes a plaster from his hand, energy emanates. It becomes evident that the secret is Amir himself – he is magical. The producer, EVS, his record, and Amir begins to play and sing – the studio lights up, the infectious vibes are broadcast – and viewers all over the world are caught up in the uncontrollable urge to dance.
