The Dead Daisies have just released their brand new single, ‘Song And A Prayer’ ahead of their six-week UK and European tour, which sees them joint-headline act with The Answer.

The Dead Daisies, based in Sydney, Australia, find their inspiration in 70s and early 80s hard rock, and are a musical collective with a rotating lineup which features some of the best Rock musicians in the world. Currently their main players are LA-based guitarist Doug Aldrich, Marco Mendoza on bass, John Corabi, who was Mötley Crüe’s lead singer from 1992-1996, drummer Brian Tichy, and the band’s co-founder and rhythm guitarist (and incidentally a high powered Australian businessman) David Lowy.

‘Song And A Prayer’ is the fourth single from the band’s new album, ‘Make Some Noise’, which found its way onto the UK Top 40 Albums chart in August. The track is accompanied by a video which is more correctly called a short film, which reflects the poignant story behind the lyrics of ‘Song And A Prayer’. The story follows the lives of a young man and woman, each of whom with pain behind their eyes, and haunted by a past they’d rather not remember. The pair find the strength to move on, and find peace with each other.

John Corabi says of ‘Song And A Prayer’,

“This song turned out to have a special vibe to it, very accessible, which is really cool. But the lyrics are rather dark. In the end it’s about hope, it talks about all the troubles we’re all going through – and that you have to be hopeful, that you will come out of it. Always look on the positive side, that’s the message.”

The Dead Daisies, recently special guest’s on KISS’ entire ‘Freedom To Rock’ US tour, have also just played their first ever USO headline tour for those serving in South Korea. They also performed as special guests on KISS’ Kruise V, five nights at sea with the legendary band.

‘Make Some Noise’ is available from iTunes. Find out more about The Dead Daisies and their tour from their official website. Check them out on social media on Spotify, Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, Instagram, and Google Plus.
