We Say To Daniel Correa ‘Don’t Stop’ With His Special Blend Of Alt Rock And Pop

Daniel Correa’s latest song, ‘Don’t Stop’ features an animated video. Reminscent of A Ha’s ‘Take On Me’, the video follows, in comic style, the life of someone who’s realised there’s more to life than the 9-5 grind.

At only 20 years old, the South Florida native has nonetheless been performing for the best part of his life, starting at age 4 on family vacation, where, one night while dining out, he tugged on the sleeve of the venue’s performing musician, repeatedly asking if he could join him on stage. Reluctantly, the musician handed the mic over to Daniel, who then proceeded to wow the audience with a mindblowing rendition of Lenny Kravitz’s ‘American Woman’. It’s true to say he’s continued to captivate all who have listened to him ever since.

Daniel’s lyrics seek the truth, with his songs an innovative blend of alt rock and pop. He began writing music at a very young age, and formed his first band by the 6th grade, having already written the lyrics and music to countless songs. Daniel continues to add to his repertoire, and ‘Don’t Stop’ is just the latest.

Although Daniel professes to be a bit of an introvert, it’s when he’s on stage that he truly comes alive:

“I want people to listen to my music and hear the honesty in it, to know that I’m not putting on airs or trying to be someone I’m not…that the joy and pain I write and sing about are real.”

Studying at The University Of Miami’s Frost School Of Music, Daniel has combined this passion for performing with the skills he’s learned through his studies. ‘Don’t Stop’ has a real tropical/reggae vibe that’s truly fitting for an artist from Florida, and the video, directed by Luis Castaneda, is a unique view of Miami’s South Beach, following a crowd down Ocean Drive.

You can find Daniel Correa online on Twitter, Facebook, Bandcamp, and his official website. ‘Don’t Stop’ is available from Daniel’s album, ‘Progressions’, and can be downloaded from iTunes.
