Nick Aslam Releases New EP ‘Crime For Thought’ Featuring Single ‘Night Train’

Hailing from the council estates and streets of Burton On Trent, Nick Aslam has found his music acclaimed by the BBC and local radio stations across the UK. It was this praise which has led him to sharing the stage with the likes of Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), Boz Boorer (known for his songwriting with Morrissey), as well as playing the acoustic stages at UK festivals.  Nick has recently released his second EP, ‘Crime For Thought’, the followup to ‘Fingerprints’, released in 2014.

With inspiration coming from the likes of The Charlatans and Babyshambles, Nick has taken his sound from its acoustic roots to a more mature and gritty rock vibe. Accompanied by his band (Jack Thorp, Lead Guitar; Jamie Cavanagh on Bass; and Danny Alton – Drums) Nick brings a new Brit-pop sound which has received much praise.

‘Night Train’ has a real 90s feel about it, with more than a hint of the likes of The Bluetones and much lamented Irish band, The Thrills. It’s a breath of fresh air in a world of dance and electronic music.

Nick is set to perform at Glow Worm Festival, alongside multiplatinum band, Toploader, in Nottinghamshire, 20-21 August. See here for further details.
