Introducing: Rebecca Moreland

12.Rebecca Moreland Snappylifestyle-15 - Version 2

Getting Used To You’ is the brand new single from Nashville based soulful pop artist Rebecca Moreland. Recorded at the excellent Quad Studios in Nashville and produced by guitarist/producer Johnny Garcia (Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood) ‘Getting Used To You’ is a bouncy, yet chilled, reflective pop number which will surely help to push Rebecca’s music further and wider, following on perfectly from the 2015 single ‘Freak Soul’ which was awarded as one of the top ten pop songs of the year on Reverbnation.

As the first single from Rebecca’s new EP (due out 17th June) ‘Humani Affectus’, part one of a soulful pop series, covering universal themes such as individuality, loss, friendship, empowerment, disappointment and change ‘Getting Used To You’ with its reflective, thoughtful feel and lyrical content is bound to resonate with a many number of new listeners and existing fans alike. Musically it is easy on the ear and vocally it is obvious to hear why Rebecca has such appeal. As a counter my main criticism is that stylistically it is low on risk and if the EP follows suit it could quite easily come across as bland to some listeners, especially considering it has considerably less edge than some current, more mainstream feeling pop tracks. That said, it isn’t unpleasant and pervious fans of Rebecca’s work will definitely be on board with its light feel and catchy vocal lines.
