Ramsey Asks Us To ‘Pay’ With Dark And Emotive New Single

Los Angeles experimental pop artist Ramsey combines a Trip Hop vibe with gorgeously evocative vocals in her new release, ‘Pay’.

‘Pay’ is a beautiful track, reminding us of Ramsey’s compatriot Lana del Rey, yet with an even darker vibe. A rich silky smooth voice, which should be in stark contrast to the electronic sound of the music, it instead complements the track perfectly.

Ramsey has burst onto the LA music scene with an intensity not often seen, with the singer releasing a steady stream of tracks since January this year.

Ramsey writes, produces, and plays all instruments on all her own music, and the hard work is paying off, as she recently amassed 1.7 million Soundcloud plays in three short months. Not surprisingly label offers have started to come in as well.

Girlunderground spoke of the artist:

“What can only be described as a scratch within the throat, Ramsey uses this as a weapon upon delivery to pull a listener in, as she manipulates sounds and emotions, embedded with her oddity of sexual tension.”

You can find Ramsey online on her official website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

‘Pay’ is available to download from iTunes, and stream on Spotify.
