The ‘Mercury’ Is Rising With Lemonhaze’s New Single

Lemonhaze

Paisley band Lemonhaze are back with their new single, ‘Mercury’, available to download from April 29.

Strong guitar introduces the track with just the amount of lead before the vocals of singer Gerry Doran, while the drums set the pace. It’s a good band that allows its members to find their own lane – the secret is not in giving everyone equal volume, but rather let them fill their own niche so the listener seeks out the individual sounds. Lemonhaze are masters of this, and ‘Mercury’ no exception.

‘Mercury’ has a bit of an 80s vibe about it, with a contemporary edge. There’s a sort of frantic feeling, as if the band has to get a message out *NOW* and it’s this franticness that contributes in part to its toe-tappingly good sound. The rest is down to it just being a damn good tune.

A worthy follow-up to ‘Feel’, ‘Mercury’ will be launched at Broadcast, Glasgow, on 30 April, with the song available to download from the 29th via iTunes. In the meantime, have a listen to the rest of their music, you won’t be disappointed.

Ahead of the launch, Lemonhaze will be playing on Saturday, 23 April, at The Green Room, Perth. Check out Lemonhaze on Twitter, Facebook, Google +, and their official website. You can read our interview with Lemonhaze here.
