With a sound reminscent of Sylvan Esso and Oh Wonder come Belfast band, New Portals.
Comprising Mike and Ruth Aicken, the duo won over BBC Radio 1 presenters Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart with their harmonies in ‘Skyline’, as well as their previous track, ‘Do It Right’.

The pair have recently released the video for ‘Skyline’, filmed in and around New York City, possibly the most famous Skyline of all.

‘Skyline’ has elements of Scritti Politti, the ethereal vocals of Ruth Aicken giving the song a mystical quality, combined with R&B infused pop and hip hop beats. Check out the video here:
