Flight Brigade’s Tom Clay Finds ‘Sanctuary’ in Solo Release

Although now the bassist for rising band, Flight Brigade, Tom Clay wasn’t always motivated to make music. At just 20 years of age he decided to ditch his rural Hampshire upbringing and move to the bright lights of Hollywood to chase his dreams of being an actor.

Soon after arriving in LA, Tom met a girl and fell in love. They married in the Mojave Desert, and opted to escape the bright lights and big city for greener pastures, and moved back to the UK.

Tom then changed his focus to the other love of his life: music. He was making a name for himself on the live circuit with a set of self-penned songs when tragedy struck, and, sadly, his wife was killed. Tom put down his guitar.

Some time later, his passion for composition was reignited when he met and joined Flight Brigade, alongside childhood friends. He felt a burning need to explore his own journey, and started once again to pour his thoughts into song. Armed with new material, Tom found himself with a management deal, and started to revel in a life on the road with both Flight Brigade and his own project, his debut solo single, ‘Sanctuary’, which is due out in early 2016.
