JD Allan – ‘Fall’

1796628_10153798251430942_6499344363641939637_nThe songwriter from Glasgow, JD Allan, releases his second single, ‘Fall’, an alternative rock tune with melodic guitar, brilliant lyric hooks and a driving rhythm section.  The former member of Glaswegian band, The Blimp, keeps his songwriting habits going as he continues to create alt-rock tunes fueled by his do-it-yourself ethic.

Following up on his last release, ‘The Wolf’, JD Allan adds a little more melodic flavour to ‘Fall’ with a pop style songwriting that is short and sweet with creative lyrical hooks. The song was recorded and co-produced by Bal Cooke (V-Twin, The Pastels, Lightships) at La Chunky Studios in Glasgow and mastered by U.E. Nastasi (AC/DC, Panic! At The Disco, The National) at Sterling Sound in New York and also features Cosmic Rough Riders rhythm section with Mark Brown and James Clifford doing bass, drums and backup harmonies.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
