Sheppard – ‘Let Me Down Easy’

‘Geronimo’ was always going to be a hard song to follow, but Australian band Sheppard think they’ve got the perfect track in ‘Let Me Down Easy’. And they’re right! Echoing the South Pacific harmonies of the Papua New Guinean childhood of the Sheppard siblings, the song is a feel good anthem with a catchy chorus, which is as brilliant on the album as it is performed live.

‘Let Me Down Easy’ will be released on August 7 via Decca Records. It’s already been a number one in Australia, and should likewise do very well in the UK. The second release from their debut album, ‘Bombs Away’, it’s a fun song, guaranteed to lift up the most downturned of mouths. As guitarist Jay Bovino says,

“Sheppard write songs for and about the downhearted. There is always that element of hope.”

Find Sheppard online on Facebook, on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and on their official website. ‘Let Me Down Easy’ is out on August 7. ‘Bombs Away’ is available now on iTunes.
