Will Jedward Make their Hollywood Debut in Sharknado 3?

Now, we love Jedward at Essentially Pop.  They’re the epitome of hardworking artists following their dreams – in fact their latest song, “Make Your Own Luck” is pretty much an autobiographical record of how they live their lives – they’re taking their chances if and when they come.

They’ve been in LA for the past 10 days or so, and we were very excited to see them pop up at the Grammys, where they had a selfie with Paul McGowan, who is none other than the chairman of HMV.  Paul later said he’d been in talks with the twins about doing a tour of HMVs, so we look forward to what that entails.

That might have been excitement enough, but when John and Edward were spotted yesterday at LAX surrounded by suitcases, it was speculated that they might be coming home – until their BFF Tara Reid tweeted that she was in Orlando to start filming Sharknado 3 – and then later posted pics of herself and the Dublin Twins!

Tara had been trying to get the twins into the next chapter of the high rating SyFy franchise, and it seems she might have been successful!

This is what we like about John and Edward – in the words of their song,

“You only have one life, better reach for the sky.

Make your own luck, spread your wings and fly”

They’re still staying true to their musical roots, but hey, if an opportunity to appear in a film comes along, why not? It’s all about Making Your Own Luck, isn’t it.

About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
