Be The The Bear is the performance name of Swedish artist and producer Christina Wehag. A one-woman music machine, she fuses clever pop with an avant-garde persona, much like fellow Nordic artists, Björk, AURORA, and Sada Vidoo. The nom de plume of ‘Be The Bear’ comes from her childhood fear of bears. She reclaimed her nightmares by adopting the wild bear as her totem, thus also creating a musical persona for herself.
In an amazing coup for the Canadian produer, deamau5 has scored the upcoming Netflix film, ‘Polar’. The action thriller, which will be avaiable to view on Netflix from January 25, was directed by renowned Swedish director and drummer, Jonas Åkerlund, while the screenplay was written by Jayson Rothwell, best known for the 2012 horror film, ‘Silent Night’.
Annielle grew up in a small town in Southern Sweden, and started making her own variety of Americana-vibed pop-folk at an early age, with inspiration from the likes of Björk, Sting, and Norah Jones.
