The Internet has definitely taken a hold of most of our lives, and ultimately it’s up to us to decide if we’re going to let it rule our lives, or embrace it and let it work for us. The latter is certainly the case for Unintended Strangers, an indie/folk duo comprising Robert Griffin in the US, and Chloe Danz, of New Zealand, who after a chance meeting online back in November 2017 decided to join forces as a musical project.
Released on January 17 this year, ‘Head Above Tide’ is New York City artist Jason Vitelli’s third full length album. The album blends dramatic arrangements, folk sentiment, and strong high fidelity production values, and has a vibe similar to that of Elvis Costello, and David Bowie, particularly in his ‘Hunky Dory’ era.
Synth/dreamwave duo, From Apes to Angels, bring an 80s vibe to their music reminiscent of the likes of Depeche Mode, Visage, and Ultravox and more recent artists such as Chvrches and Grimes.
Comprising Millie Gaum on vocals and Andrew Brassleay on synth, From Apes To Angels are set to release their debut EP, ‘New Skin’, on July 24.
