Livewire Festival has announced that the Sunday evening slot will be a musical extravaganza, titled ‘From Movies To Musicals’ bringing some of the UK’s most beloved musical stars to the famous seaside resort for the August bank holiday in 2019. Ben Forster, John Owen-Jones, Kerry Ellis, Ruthie Henshall, and more yet to be announced will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
After a massive inaugural year, which saw unforgettable performances by a host of UK and international acts including Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Jacksons, LIVEWIRE Festival announces it will return to the famous seaside resort for the August bank holiday. From Thursday August 23rd – Sunday August 26th Blackpool’s Tower Headland Arena will once again welcome some of the world’s biggest music stars, this year increasing the festival from three to four nights.
Tickets are priced from £40 and go on sale this Friday 16 th February at 10am LIVEWIRE Festival.
The first headline artists to be announced are Boyz II Men, and Matt Goss who will be performing on Thursday August 23rd. For both artists this will be their only UK shows in 2018.
Following on from our 6QQ with Brother Beyond earlier, we bring you UK pop duo Pepsi & Shirlie, who made a name for themselves as the backing vocalists for Wham! before moving to the front of the stage as artists in their own right. The duo will performing this August Bank Holiday weekend, 25-27 August, at Blackpool’s Headlands Arena, which will playto some of the world’s biggest musical stars for LIVEWIRE Festival, a new series of concerts.
