‘Saint & Sinners’, the new single from Honey Trap, is a stunning example of what this band has to offer. Opening with a blues-infused riff from Bouras, underpinning Rendon’s steamy vocals, the song builds gradually until its zenith as a superb head-banger of a track. Written during the Covid-19 pandemic, the lyrics reflect how the pandemic affected us all – saints and sinners alike – putting us on an equal platform. The lyrics, and vocals in turn, go from gentleness to full-blown rage, a reflection of the inner turmoil we all feel in uncertain times, and did particularly feel back then.

‘J.A.I.M.E’, is J.LONG’s most recent release, and it’s also the title track for his 3rd album this year. A play on his first name, it also stands for “Jesus Absolutely Is My Everything”, and the high-energy track channels the Holy Spirit, as well as the likes of Prince, and Lenny Kravitz. The slightly off-kilter beats are matched with punchy synths and jangly guitars and fluid bass runs. On top of all this, the lyrics are catchy as all, and J.LONG’s mellifluous vocals are as smooth and sweet as honey.
