Liv Austen Releases New Single ‘Why Don’t You’, Tomorrow

This Friday, the super talented Liv Austen will release a song that I think is very important to her in so many ways because it is born of this love. ‘Why Don’t You’ is a song that tells us we should be as generous to ourselves as we are with the outside world. It is a song that on first hearing sounds like advice but on repeated listening evolves into a mission statement from the singer to herself.

Take A Trip Down ‘American Avenue’ With Nashville’s Oberon Rose Ahead Of January Album Release

First listen of ‘American Avenue’, from Oberon Rose and you instinctively think of early Fleetwood Mac. This is for good reason, as the songwriting team, built around Tommy Oberon and Rebecca Rose, draw from influences which include the blues guitar playing of the recently departed Peter Green, who founded the band.

The Orange Apples. – ‘Naked Love’

The music video for The Orange Apples. track ‘Naked Love’ opens with a shot of two young women and a young man, similarly dressed, all very attractive, together in a field, with their backs against a tree. The grasses are swaying in the wind, and it’s both idyllic and slightly unsettling. The unease continues when another man approaches the trio; it’s all very intriguing and confusing, deliberately ambiguous.

Keldamuzik – ‘Can’t Keep Up’

The lyric video for Keldamuzik’s latest single, ‘Can’t Keep Up’, was directed by Rob Fitzgerald, who’s matched it to the upbeat pop track. Keldamuzik’s attitude is empowering; she exudes pride and confidence, and we are encouraged to do the same. She will never tolerate time wasters, and that much is made clear with the assertive words on screen, appearing as she sings them.

Ultra Major – ‘Disaster’

‘Disaster’, by Ultra Major, harks back to those days when all you needed was a few friends, a few chords, and an earworm of a song to have a hit. There’s no gimmicks with these guys though, it’s straight up fuzzed-out rock guitars reminiscent of the 90s, the sort of thing that you listen to for years after.
