Skeleton Woman Releases Self-Titled Debut EP

Melbourne artist Skeleton Woman is set to release her self-titled debut EP on November 19. It’s available to pre-save here.

Back in 2014, Hayley Lee Allen bought a domain name, with the aim of starting an online guide to the hinterland of Melbourne, and promptly forgot it. Fast forward five years, and Hayley had plenty of heartbreak, failed relationships and deep regret, that she wanted to put into song. An email arrived from a real estate agent, contacting her about buying the domain name. She sold it for big money, and on the same day, the lyrics for ‘Wayside’ poured out of her, a deeply personal tribute to an old, fierce, and unforgettable love.

Hayley spent the money at Tender Trap Studios, Melbourne, working with eminent film score and beats producer Simon Walbrook, along with clash pop maestro, and engineer AJ Bradford. Together, they paired raw and open lyrics with deep grooves, along with indie pop melodies and cinematic soundscapes. The five track ‘Skeleton Woman’ sounds like love rushes, lost hearts, recovery, and an escape onto the dance floor.

A very impressive debut release, you’ll be wanting to hear much more from this very talented artist, so make sure you keep up to date with Skeleton Woman and her music online on Facebook, and Instagram. Pre-save ‘Skeleton Woman’ here.
