A Christmas No.1 | Trailer | Sky Cinema

From BAFTA winning director Chris Cottam (The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan) and the musical genius of Guy Chambers, the Sky Original boasts an incredible ensemble cast including Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, Rise Of Planet Of The Apes, Hillbilly Elegy), Iwan Rheon (Game Of Thrones, Misfits, The Dirt), Helena Zengel (News Of The World), Alfie Boe (Recording artist, West End and Broadway, Les Miserables in Concert, Mr Selfridge), Debi Mazar (Goodfellas, Entourage), Richard Fleeshman (Call The Midwife, Four Weddings and a Funeral) and introducing Ashley Margolis, Joshua Sinclair Evans, Darryl Mundoma, George Walker and Benji Colson as the UK’s newest boyband, 5 Together.

The film is chock full of classic Christmas music and several new Christmas songs by Guy Chambers, including ‘A Christmas Wish’, sung by Cerys Matthews and Iwan Rheon.

Fresh from a breakup with the world’s hottest popstar, music manager Meg Rai (Pinto) leaves New York for London to manage a boyband, 5 Together, who are desperate for a Christmas hit after their latest self-written album flopped. Meanwhile, Blake Cutter (Rheon), persuaded by his Christmas obsessive, niece, Nina Cutter (Zengel), puts his thrash metal band, Scurve, to one side to write Nina the ultimate Christmas song. When Meg discovers the hit in the making, will this be the Christmas number one the boy band desperately needs or will Blake, the song, and Nina show Meg what truly matters?

A Sky Original, A Christmas Number One is produced by Sky, Genesius Pictures, Lupus Films and Space Age Films. It will be available on Sky Cinema and streaming service NOW from 10 December.
