Producer And Songwriter Wayne Matthews Releases Latest Single, ‘It Ain’t Easy’ ft LORA

‘It Ain’t Easy’ is what producer and songwriter Wayne Matthews tells us, with his latest single, which features vocals from LORA. Out now, the track was written after Wayne passed an ex on the street, causing him to be unsure how to react. He put all that uncertainty to good use, pouring his emotions into song.

‘It Ain’t Easy’ is an upbeat breakup song, with a vibe reminiscent of Shawn Mendes, or Ed Sheeran. With guest vocals from LORA, the duet shows that both characters need each other, but in ways that aren’t the same as what the other person wants. A bright track, albeit with heart-wrenching lyrics, the sincerity of both vocalists is very clear and instantly relatable.

Wayne Matthews, who’s been playing guitar since he was 18, wrote his first song at the age of 23, when he needed a way to get over a difficult break up. This opened up in Matthews a passion for live music, and after trying out his original songs at an open mic, he’s developed his craft, going from strength to strength. Wayne released his debut EP in 2019, and followed it up by competing in Belgium’s Got Talent, which gave him the confidence to throw himself into his music career.

The self-described hopeless romantic cites as among his influences the likes of Dermot Kennedy, James Bay, and Ed Sheeran as his key influences.
