Peppermint Heaven Can Be Your Star In Release Today: We Premiere Their Exciting New Track

Peppermint Heaven have today released their new single, ‘I Can Be Your Star’, and it’s probably the most upbeat and joyful track to date from the LA based duo.

No strangers to the pages of EP, production and songwriting duo Peppermint Heaven have made it their life’s work to create incredibly catchy and full-on bop infused retro styled synth anthems. Their style squarely places them between the new romantic sounds of Britain in the 1980s and their US emulators from the same period. Think Psychedelic Furs, Pet Shop Boys, or Tears For Fears, and you come close; Peppermint Heaven’s complex lyrics and multi-layered instrumentals ensure that their songs will appeal to a wide audience.

Peppermint Heaven, comprising Juno and Spark, have once again hit upon a winner ‘I Can Be Your Star’, as the song will resonate with most listeners, as they sing of hope, and in turn being that hope for someone – no matter how confusing or illusory the world around us might be.

‘I Can Be Your Star’ comes from Peppermint Heaven’s forthcoming self-titled album, and is the first taste of the pair’s journey into exploring new genres, styles, and musical approaches. If there’s any criticism of the song, it’s that it could definitely do with more cowbell!

‘I Can Be Your Star’ is out today, June 25. Stream it below:
