Driscoe Releases Latest Single ‘Drowning’

After being diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 16, Driscoe started making music as a coping mechanism – and he says it quite literally saved his life. Driscoe’s new single, ‘Drowning’, is out now.

Serving as a metaphor for co-dependency in love and other relationships, Driscoe’s single ‘Drowning’ is heart felt and reveals his vulnerability. The listener is taken through a range of emotions, including despair, longing, and loss.

The heart-wrenching rawness of Driscoe’s vocals call to mind those of Sam Smith, while the rhythmic pop beat of the instrumental track helps to convey his fight for love, with the beat reminiscent of a heartbeat. Driscoe attempts with his lyrics to heal hearts in a world where he’s found people constantly let him down.

Driscoe describes his music as representing the twisted story of a romantic comedy, and it’s his hope for humanity that keeps him writing. He stays true and open with each note, syllable, and word sung, ensuring his music is relatable to not just himself and those he’s closest to, but also the wider world of listeners.
