Nixie Releases Debut Single ‘Honey’

Pop/R&B singer Nixie has always had a love for the big stage, and has enjoyed a much envied career as a backing vocalist and dancer. Now Nixie moves into a new phase of her life as a solo artist, with her debut single, ‘Honey’.

Written alongside songwriter and producer, Picky, ‘Honey’ is a sultry track with a vintage vibe, created by the use of vintage instruments, combined with modern production techniques. Nixie’s vocals remind us of H.E.R., and Ariane Grande, while the instrumentals come courtesy of George Cook (Rag’n’Bone Man) on drums, Rachael Walker (Katie Melua, Sinead O’Connor) on guitar and session bassist Tom Gretton. With co-arrangement and mixing, ‘Honey’ is a delight from start to finish, and the perfect song to get Nixie’s career off to a flying start.
