Kel Sykes Releases Latest Single, ‘Ride (To the End)’

Describing himself as, “Just a songwriter trying to navigate through the lanes of the musical highway”, Kel Sykes explores the early stages of a new love, in his latest single, ‘Ride (To The End)’, which is set for release on March 25. The track is available to pre-save here.

R&B and Hip Hop artist, Kel Sykes, bases his new single around the search for his “ride or die”, that person with whom you’re determined to spend your entire life – you’ll ride out any problems or die trying. In ‘Ride (To The End)’, Kel Sykes is filled with hope and for a new relationship, but at the same time painfully aware that the reality isn’t always what he’d dreamed of. The track is filled with a bittersweet sentiment, and while it’s essentially a sad tune, it’s nonetheless offset by Sykes’ dreamy bedroom pop sound, his laidback vocals, and airy rhythms.

Kel Sykes has been writing music since he was 10 years old, and describes his sound, a unique blend of R&B and Hip Hop, as, “lofi R&B laced Emo hip hop” – we’re excited to hear what more is to come from this artist, whose debut EP, ‘Aches In The Bay’, is hotly anticipated as it explores the tales of a 20 something dealing with life, relationships, and heartbreak.
