AV Super Sunshine – ‘Super Cool’

We’ve been writing about AV Super Sunshine for a long time now – since 2016, would you believe – and we’re not about to stop any time soon. The super happy and super extra-terrestrial artist from Wisconsin is also ‘Super Cool’, and what do you know, that just happens to be the name of his latest single, and music video!

Taken from his new album, ‘Kicked Out Of School’, ‘Super Cool’ is a fab lead single, with AV singing about being told to “get out of class”. We know he’s cool, but is it that he’s too cool for school, or rather that the school isn’t cool enough for him? We suspect the latter. The music video takes us to a roadside antique sale, where we see mannequins, dressed in clothing that may seem a little familiar to AV fans. Meanwhile, AV and his frequent muse and on-screen partner, Philomena, are dancing around on the stairs of a motel, as well as by the side of the highway. Cars and trains rush by….and the mannequins…appear to be having a life of their very own.

Super cool and super fun, the synth and guitars heavy track harks back to the 60s and 70s, and gives us a real flavour of a time when we could kick back and enjoy ourselves. AV and Philomena remind us that no matter what is going on, we can still have a good time, just by being ourselves – even if it means we’re too cool for school.
