Megan Soo Releases Video For Catchy Debut Single, ‘Let Me Love Me’

Canadian singer, Megan Soo, has released her debut single, ‘Let Me Love Me’. The track has a feel good message, and comes with both an official music video, and a pop art-inspired lyric video.

Megan Soo grew up listening to soca, dancehall, and K-Pop, and embraces her Korean and Trinidadian heritage in her new single, which fuses K-Pop and dancehall in a style which she has dubbed K-Hall. The actress, singer, and content creator grew up listening is making waves with both her music and digital content across social media, in particular Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Additionally, Megan won the title of Miss Trinidad and Tobago, in 2018, Miss SuperTalent in Korea, and Miss Asia Canada, in 2017, where she was first runner up. She landed a role in the film, ‘xXx Return of Xander Cage’, starring Vin Diesel, and she’s written her own tv series, which aims at rectifying the lack of diverse casting for mixed Asian lead roles. Having secured the funding for the pilot of ‘Tales’, Megan has pitched it to the major streaming platforms. You can watch the trailer here.

In her new single, ‘Let Me Love Me’, Megan Soo presents a self-affirming, positive message, about loving who you are, and feeling comfortable in your own skin. She takes hold of her multicultural roots and embraces them, providing an advocacy for other artists who come from mixed backgrounds. The track is an energetic statement of self-love, while the pink-hued video, which dropped on October 30, is a showcase for the song’s positively powerful message, as it shows Megan and her friends getting on with life and loving themselves.
