Iris Stryx Drops Latest Single, ‘7 Years’

Set for release on 27 November, ‘7 Years’ is the new single from Bahamian artist, Iris Stryx. A track which combines elements of both pop and hip hop music, Iris recorded the single at the world famous Hit Factory Criteria, in Miami, Florida. ‘7 Years’ is from her upcoming four track EP, ‘Rebirth’.

‘7 Years’ tells the true and very personal story of how Iris was introduced to the music industry by someone she was dating, before she ever knew she would become a part of it. The track follows her journey to enlightenment, which came after a long period of lying to herself about her musical ambitions, and once she decided to follow her dreams, it was a simple – and quick – process of getting her lyrics onto paper. In her own words,

“The writing came from a burning desire to express how I felt”.

Iris Stryx wants people to be empowered by ‘7 Years’, and ‘Rebirth’, and calls for her listeners to release themselves from the fear of having to start over again, and realise their future is far brighter once they’ve taken that step to move on in life.
