Trap Montego Releases Latest Single, ‘Clarks’

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Trap Montego studied Recording Arts and Sciences in Arizona, and his ambition led him to learn about production, film direction, and TV production (the latter via Roderick Giles, of Clarendon Entertainment). He describes himself as a “CEO, songwriter, dancer, director, producer, recording artist, with Reggae vibes, hip hop beats, and a Caribbean heart”, and he’s been recording music since 2012. Trap Montego’s latest single, ‘Clarks’, is about all things luxurious, and was inspired by an Italian shoe brand.

The uplifting single is the first release from Trap Montego’s record label, 9Keyzz Records, which he recently announced. The label is set to develop young and fresh talent from all over the world.  The song, ‘Clarks’, fits with 9Keyzz ethos of using music to enact real social change, and Trap Montego’s hope is that the uplifting track will be just the first positive step for this new chapter of his life journey.

‘Clarks’ is an upbeat track with a catchy rhythm, calling to mind both Afrobeats and Dancehall. It’s a certain earwormer, and will add some sunshine to your day – the perfect antidote for these gloomy times of lockdown!

‘Clarks’ is out now and can be streamed and downloaded here. You can find out more about Trap Montego and his music online on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Soundcloud, and Spotify.
