Kikoman Antonio Releases Latest Single, ‘Where You From?!’

Based in the Philippines, Kikoman Antonio – aka DJ Kikoman – is a professional DJ with over 30 years experience in the music industry. He got his start out in California back in the 80s, and returned to his homeland to open up the electronic scene there. His latest single, ‘Where You From?!’ is a fast pace track with a high energy that will get you up on the dance floor – wherever that might be.

At nearly 6 minutes long, it’s a track that Antonio says has been a long time coming. The catchy refrain of “where you from where you from”, and the pulsating beat, driving home the rhythm and overall groove, will get you bobbing before you know it.

Lyrically the track is quite simplistic, asking a simple question that’s echoed all over the world, even if in slightly different words – “Where you from? And who the fuck you rocking with?” Just as it is an opening gambit when meeting new people, the music is likewise a means by which to find common ground.

Kikoman Antonio fuses tech house, future house, soulful, and dance into his musical style, and cites as his inspirations the likes of Kings of Tomorrow, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, John Digweed, Josh Wink and most of all, the great DJ Jazzy Jeff of the hip hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince (Will Smith).
