STEPS REVEAL THE WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS (CAHILL REMIX)

Pop legends Steps – aka Claire, Faye, H, Lee and Lisa – caused quite the stir earlier this month when they announced their brand-new album, launched their UK arena tour and released the first single What The Future Holds. With fans all around the world citing their return as them coming “back to save 2020”, the launch was a huge success with them scoring 3 #1s including topping the iTunes Singles Chart, the iTunes Album Preorder Chart and the iTunes Video Chart, as well as trending in the UK on Twitter. Now the five-piece reveal their next piece of music with the Cahill Remix of What The Future Holds dropping today on all digital platforms, listen here.

“We’ve loved seeing you all show off your ‘What The Future Holds’ dance moves on social media – we can’t wait to see you all kicking into overdrive with the brand-new Cahill remix.  Clubs may still be closed, but we hope it gives you all an excuse to turn your bedroom, kitchen or living rooms into your own dancefloors!” add Steps about the remix.

Built around a typically Steps-esque bittersweet refrain of “one foot in the past and one foot in the future”, the album’s thundering, gloriously dramatic title track was penned by pop queen Sia and is the perfect statement for a band who have taken a wave of nostalgia and alchemised it into an album full of future anthems. The single can be downloaded or streamed on all digital platforms here and the video can be viewed here:

The impressive, futuristic video, which was filmed pre-lockdown and directed by Max and Dania, encompasses the soul of Steps and features another striking, iconic dance routine.

Earlier this month, Steps revealed news of their 6th album, What The Future Holds, out November 27th 2020 and launched their sure-to-be epic, What The Future Holds 2021 Tour. Steps will be joined on the tour by the brilliant Sophie Ellis-Bextor as special guest and tickets are on sale now here.

Their sixth studio album, What The Future Holds, will be released via BMG, and will be available on all digital platforms plus CD, Vinyl (including a limited edition transparent pink edition) and Cassette. A must for all Steps memorabilia collectors, the album will also be available as part of a Cassette Collection featuring five separate transparent pink solo cassettes with an intro from each band member, all in a special collector’s box.
