Pop singer Fai releases debut single ‘Comet’

Originally from Virginia, USA, but currently living in Kuwait, Fai has had the wonderful opportunity to travel the world thanks to her father, who was a diplomat. Taking advantage of this for her music career, Fai pulled to herself a wide network of friends and contacts all over the world, and additionally used her experiences to populate her music. Her debut single, ‘Comet’, is set for release on August 20.

‘Comet’ is a love story, and with her lyrics Fai paints a beautiful picture, which was based on a set of images that came to her one November morning. Speaking about what feeling she wished to share with her mellow pop ballad, Fai said,

“I wanted to capture that feeling of a childlike admiration that you experience when you love someone correctly.”

The guitar led track has a laid back country vibe, and the song itself and Fai’s vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Taylor Swift. She envisaged ‘Comet’ as a first dance song for a wedding, and this comes out perfectly in the track, which came about when she joined forces with producer Jacob Moumjian and musician Omar Salem.

Fai had originally been all set to release her debut album but the label to which she was signed was forced to close before it was released. Instead of being knocked back by this, Fai instead decided to throw herself into her writing and recording.

‘Comet’ is set for release on 20 August and can be pre-saved here.
