McFly Return With Their First Single In Seven Years ‘Happiness’

During these dark times, the world needs cheering up. Well, fear not, McFly are here to save the day. The band has finally announced that they will be releasing their brand-new single “Happiness” on Thursday the 30th of July – the first new release in seven years!

“Happiness” has been described as McFly’s classic pop-rock sound. It’s inspired by the bands’ dedicated fanbase over in South America and has a festival feel to it. Even the title alone is infectious and automatically puts a smile on your face. We feel that it’s a track that everyone needs to listen to in these trying times.

When speaking of the single, Tom says;

“This song was always the clear choice to come back with – as soon as we wrote Happiness, it kind of defined where the rest of the album went.”

Danny adds;

“There’s that hands-in-the-air feeling about it, like when you’re drunk or you’re having a barbecue. You can put it on and your kids will dance to it, your wife will dance to it, your granddad, everybody, even the lads!”

Although we’re yet to hear it, we know that we’re going to fall in love instantly.

A few weeks ago, Danny, Tom, Harry and Dougie announced that they have recently signed a new record deal with BMG records, with a promise that they will be dropping a new album later in the year. A promise they are determined to keep. It is now public news that they will be releasing their brand-new, upcoming album “Young Dumb Thrills” on the 13th of November!

McFly are geared up for the next chapter and we can’t wait to see it. Drummer Harry says;

“We want as many people as possible to hear our new music and when we can, we want to go out and play for our fans. But for us, nothing will ever beat being able to hang out with your mates and make amazing music that you love. For us, that’s what McFly is always going to be about.”

This new era is going to be fabulous for the band. Be sure to follow their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more updates!
