Jekalyn Carr – ‘Power Of Love’

Jekalyn Carr returns with her new single and music video, ‘Power Of Love’.

Jekalyn Carr knows a thing or two about the power of love. Through her ministry Jekalyn Carr has seen it transform and lift up thousands of lives, renewing their hope, providing comfort to the helpless, giving boldness to those who need it, and repairing the divisions which initially look impossible to heal. The winner of The Stellar Award, and gospel chart topper feels that same commitment to compassion – radical as it might sound – can reunite the shattered pieces of the the USA, and she’s put her conviction where her mouth is, literally – with her new single, ‘Power Of Love’, with its hope that in love and in God we can find unity and peace.

‘Power Of Love’ is a passionate anthem, like her previous release, ‘Changing Your Story’, but unlike that track it’s not a pure gospel track. Although it does have its foundation set on the rock of devotional music, it’s more closely akin to contemporary pop and RnB. Jekalyn’s voice is a testimony to her faith, ringing strong and firm, and it’s that sound which has drawn the attention of radio programmers, and seen the track become the most added song on the Urban AC format. It’s a timely song and brings a message across that couldn’t go unnoticed, and is sure to see it be added to pop playlists in the not too distant future.

The clip for ‘Power Of Love’ is unashamedly optimistic, with Carr demonstrating what can be achieved through love. We are shown the faces of those who’ve decided to turn away from a life of anger, and instead love their neighbours. Jekalyn herself is shown in the video, brightly filled with love and delight, a beacon of joy and confidence.
