Grimes vs Grimes: Jedward Confront Ultimate Twin Dilemma In New Music Video For ‘Taste The Heat’

It would have to be the ultimate twin dilemma: what happens if you both like the same person? Identical twins John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, know it all too well, and have made the storyline the focus of the new video for their latest release, ‘Taste The Heat’.

Jedward - Taste The Heat

In the video both John and Edward are seen in a 50s style diner, where a very attractive waitress (played by LA based dancer and actress Arielle Elonys) catches the eye of both of them. She brings their food over and sits down – and from here on in, it becomes a story of how each of them would like to see a relationship progress with her. It makes us wonder how much the storyline has been drawn from real life, as we see each fantasising about their ultimate dream date. There’s a lot of dancing, some stunning sets – I’d LOVE to live in the 70s pad with the original Eero Aarnio ball chair – and several costume changes, making it overall extremely re-watchable.

The clip is the first video to come from Jedward’s ‘Voice Of A Rebel’ album, which was released just over a year ago, and ‘Taste The Heat’ is the third track, following on from ‘Soul Crushing’ and ‘Bodies In Action’, which preceded the album release. All 22 songs on ‘Voice Of A Rebel’ were written and produced by John and Edward, and they maintained all creative control over the video as well, with all storyboarding, set location, and editing done by them.

‘Taste The Heat’ is out now on JedwardVEVO through Universal. You can download the video on Apple Music.
