‘Electricity’ is the debut single from British-Argentinian singer Victoria May. The track was released on June 28 via Capo Music UK, and is available to stream and download on all major digital streaming media.
The upbeat pop track was produced by Seba de la Riega, and Fran Alduncin, and was written about those first stages of having a crush on somebody, when you feel excitement at the very mention of their name, but you’re also unsure of how they feel about you so there’s that uncertainty as well, and the track ably captures the tenseness of that experience.
Victoria May, who was born in Cambridge, but moved to Argentina with her family when she was 11, started writing music while still at school, in an effort to connect with people despite the language barrier. ‘Electricity’ was recorded in Buenos Aires, and mixed and mastered in New York, and is clearly just the start of something exciting for the singer, who takes inspiration from fellow female pop artists such as Ariana Grande, and Lennon Stella.
